Good Friday — Exodus 12:7-13

Redeemer Sedro Woolley

In this Good Friday teaching Pastor Josh focused on the significance of Exodus 12:7-13 and its foreshadowing of Christ's sacrifice. The passage recounts the first Passover, where the blood of a lamb protected the Israelites from God's judgment. This event symbolizes the need for a mediator between God and man, highlighting the necessity of Israel’s preparation, the covering of blood to avoid death when God visited and how these things pointed forward to our true Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Good Friday is a day to remember the weight of sin and the horrific cost of redemption. Yet, it is also a day of hope, as it points to the ultimate victory of Christ's resurrection. Which is why we are urged to examine our faith and trust in the blood of Christ as our refuge and salvation.
